I have years of experience in traditional publishing as well as editing independently. I offer two forms of more detailed editing for writers at different stages in the evolution of their work: developmental editing and line editing. Developmental editing is a far more involved version of a manuscript critique, whereas line editing focuses more on sentence structure, vocabulary use, and grammar. Ideally, an author will go through both a developmental edit as well as a line edit.
